Answer
Nonhoning chewing is characterised by a variety of alterations in the dentition, including the presence of molars. First and foremost, the canines are smaller, non-projecting, and much blunter. A diastema (a space between the canine and lateral incisor) has also been removed from the mouth. Nonhoning chewing alters the pattern of wear on the teeth as well as the shape of the teeth.
In a similar vein, the question is raised as to whether humans engage in Nonhoning chewing.
